1-800-VOLUNTEER and AVB:

AVB is now linked with the 1-800-VOLUNTEER national website, allowing us to improve our system of matching volunteers with local organizations. With the help of 1-800-VOLUNTEER, the site will not only be more user-friendly for volunteers, but will allow us to more effectively manage the volunteer needs of local non-profits as well as more accurately report volunteer placement and service in our community. Through this new system, we will begin sending our newsletters electronically, reducing mailing expenses for AVB and reducing the need for paper.

 

Watch the mail for a letter from AVB providing you with a username and password to the 1-800-VOLUNTEER site. Please log onto their website (www.1-800volunteer.org) and register so that you can receive our newsletters electronically as well as announcements for volunteer opportunities in our community. We’re very excited about the changes here at AVB and hope you will be as well!
